The Gear
The hub of the studio is an Akai Professional DPS 24 workstation, providing 24 tracks of uncompressed digital recording, editing, and mixing, unsurpassed signal routing flexibility, and "flying faders" automation. The DPS 24 also offers import and export of files in WAV, AIFF, and BWF (timestamped broadcast WAV) formats, as well as 24 channels of ADAT lightpipe connectivity and S/PDIF 2-channel digital input and output.
Our main monitors are by Tannoy. MoonDogEast offers the ability to check mixes on a total of 5 different sets of speakers. You’ll leave with confidence that your mix translates well across the wide spectrum of possible listening environments.
An Oz Audio Q-Mix headphone matrix provides personalized headphone mixes for each performer. Whatever you need more of in your headphone mix, we can get it to you.
“Pre-mastering” is performed within the Akai DPS 24 and/or on PC with Sonic Foundry’s Sound Forge, depending on the project’s needs.
